Swan Solutions, a provider of information technology solutions, today said it supported an Indian bank to upgrade its IT infrastructure.
Swan Solutions has helped the bank run new digital banking services with high availability and scalability. The company did not reveal the name of the bank.
The processing time for a debit card, credit card and loan has also reduced from over weeks to less than thirty minutes.
Additionally, after receiving the required documents and verifying records the bank can generate the new card in 15 to 30 minutes which earlier took 15 to 30 days.
The bank selected Swan Solutions in line with its new digital business strategy which includes instant account opening with personalized debit cards, instant loan approvals for car and home loans. The bank selected Swan Solutions for its expertise in infrastructure space design.
The bank replaced the physical servers by installing and configuring HP Blade System c7000 enclosure with 15 HP Blade servers.
VMware’s Hypervisor 5.5 update 1 was installed on each blade server and VMware vCenter management server was installed and configured to manage, automate and deliver virtual infrastructure.
This apart, VMotion was added to avoid hardware downtime.
Swan Solutions configured HPMSA2040SAN storage in redundancy mode with the storage area network (SAN) switch environment.
Swan Solutions also created a separate data store for each environment – application, database and User Acceptance Testing.
The implementation has also reduced network manageability and provided 24×7 application and database server.
“We also developed a Microsoft cluster-mode configuration for the SQL database server. It created HP’s MSL Tape Library 4042 with Tape drive. We installed and configured data protector software for online data backup,” said Altaf Hussain, solutions head, Swan Solutions.
