Housing loan company SBAB has selected Proact IT Group to leverage new IT infrastructure system including, deployment services, consulting and 24×7 premium support.
Proact provides greater capacity and higher performance than the previous solution.
The company said system will also be used for internal file storage and for the development and testing environment.
The new solution has integrated backup and provides enhanced disaster recovery as the secondary function can be used as a fallback system in the event of a failure.
The upgrade does not include SBAB’s business systems which are managed by external operations suppliers.
“Our new storage solution means we will not have to invest in special backup products, and management will also be more straightforward,” said Lars-Erik Eriksson, who works with IT operations at SBAB.
Last month, Proact provides Digita with a storage system dedicated to handling media files. The company also provides wireless data transfer services, builds and maintains radio and TV networks and leases out equipment and broadcasting capacity.
In May, Adapcare selected Proact as its partner for the supply and implementation of a new flash storage-based environment for two data centers and signed a three year contract, including 24×7 Proact Premium Support.
