Sandia National Laboratories taps General Dynamics for IT transformation

General Dynamics Information Technology will provide support for the design and implementation of Cloud-based IT transformation initiative at Sandia National Laboratories.

General Dynamics will develop sustainable, cost effective cloud computing capabilities for the lab for modernizing Sandia’s IT environment.

Sandia National Laboratories will deploy the new IT model and General Dynamics will develop the business framework, processes, service models, technical architecture and implementation plans to guide Sandia’s staff with the new deployment.

General Dynamics Information Technology in January 2015 was also selected as a cloud services broker by the State of Texas Department of Information Resources. General Dynamics CloudBroker portal is available to all state and local agencies and it provides a cloud brokerage and management platform for federal, state and local agencies.

The contract has a potential value of $1.3 million over three years. The work for the contract will be performed in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Livermore, California.

Last year in June, General Dynamics Information Technology signed a contract to support the US Joint Staff J7 to provide operational support services to the Joint Force Development program. The contract has potential value of $876.9 million over five years.

In November 2014, General Dynamics Information Technology announced that it will support and expand the analytic engine and reporting system for the Arkansas Health Care Payment Improvement Initiative (AHCPII).
