NEC and Keonics (Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation) announced collaboration in Smart City technologies and cybersecurity.
The partnership aims to drive economic growth in Karnataka as well as other parts of India through NEC IT solutions and training.
NEC India will provide IT solutions to protect from cybercrime and focus on talent development to enhance the security capabilities of Karnataka as well as the rest of India.
Keonics will leverage NEC solutions to assist state governments and other government organizations in implementing projects in the areas of cybersecurity, city surveillance, criminal investigation and forensics, and systems integration.
“With Karnataka’s position as a regional hub for technology and business within India, the deal will create new avenues of growth in the state and ensures Karnataka continues to thrive as a scientific, economic and social center,” said Koichiro Koide, managing director of NEC India.
