Infotech Lead Middle East: Wipro Infotech has bagged a major contract from banking group Emirates NBD to deliver service transition and transformational services.
As per the three-year strategic managed services deal, Wipro Infotech will offer comprehensive help desk and field support services.
Wipro Infotech’ services will enable Emirates NBD, a market leader across core business lines and retail banking franchise, to offer better services to their end customer.
Wipro will support both physically and remotely all Emirates NBD’s offices in the Middle East and many of its international offices through a remote support model.
Wipro will also maintain and manage more than 8,000 assets of the organisation.
Recently, Wipro Infotech implemented core banking solution (CBS) at five co-operative banks under National Agriculture Bank for Rural Development (NABARD). Wipro’s Data Center is hosting the application. Wipro is currently implementing the project for co-operative banks across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Haryana.
Middle East is a focus market for Wipro and managed services is one the offerings which has been adopted by clients across segments.
Wipro Infotech recently tied up with Qatar Airways. The global airline will utilize Wipro’s experience of application development and project management to develop new solutions that create competitive advantage for Qatar Airways.
For Emirates NBD, Clustered Onsite and On call desk support services will be provided tools aligned to international industry standards. As a part of this initiative 30 Emirates NBD employees will be transitioned into Wipro through a seamless process.
