Union Bank taps CheckFree RXP for electronic bill delivery

Infotech Lead America: Union Bank has selected CheckFree RXP to enable electronic bill delivery and payment via their online and mobile banking channels.

CheckFree RXP leverages the Fiserv biller network to enable electronic bill payment. The service connects thousands of businesses to financial institutions and consumers.

The Fiserv network enables the delivery of e-bills of various services like utility, mobile phone and credit card from nearly 500 national and local businesses.

Union Bank is a subsidiary of UnionBanCal Corp., a financial holding company with assets of $97 billion. It is a member of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group.

CheckFree RXP has an interactive calendar that enables customers to choose the date they want their bill to be paid on. The Payment Assistant within CheckFree RXP makes it easy for Union Bank customers to receive, view and pay all their bills in one place.

Payments are more accurate as most payments and accompanying data sent via CheckFree RXP are delivered electronically. Alongwith benefiting customers, this will also help increase the operational efficiency of the bank as well.

The bill payment user interface of the CheckFree Builder web services API from Fiserv can be customized and integrated into the bank’s online and mobile banking services.
