Top Ethernet switch and router vendors and growth in Q3 2021

IDC report has information about the top Ethernet switch and router vendors and their business growth during the third quarter of 2021.
Ethernet Switch vendor growth in Q3 2021Cisco’s Ethernet switch revenues declined 1.3 percent. Cisco has a market share of 45.4 percent in the Ethernet switch.

Cisco’s combined service provider and enterprise router revenue grew 10.7 percent. Cisco’s enterprise router revenue grew 14.1 percent. Cisco’s SP router revenues increased 8.7 percent. Cisco’s combined SP and enterprise router market share stands at 37.5 percent in the quarter.

Huawei’s Ethernet switch revenue increased 11.4 percent. Huawei has an Ethernet switch revenue share of 10.7 percent. Huawei’s SP and enterprise router revenue increased 4.0 percent year over year giving the company a market share of 28.1 percent.

Arista Networks’s Ethernet switch revenues increased 23 percent in 3Q21. Arista Networks has Ethernet switch share of 7.3 percent.

H3C’s Ethernet switch revenue rose 18.6 percent. H3C’s Ethernet switch market share was 6.2 percent in the quarter. H3C’ revenues in the combined service provider and enterprise routing market grew 31.3 percent. H3C’ revenues in the combined service provider and enterprise routing market share was 2.2 percent.

HPE’s Ethernet switch revenue increased 23.6 percent. HPE’s Ethernet switch market share was 5.8 percent.

Juniper’s Ethernet switch revenue increased 25.6 percent. Juniper’s Ethernet switch market share was 3.2 percent. Juniper’s combined enterprise and SP router sales fell 11 percent. Juniper’s combined enterprise and SP router market share was 10 percent.

The Ethernet switch market revenue increased 7.5 percent to $8.1 billion in revenue in the third quarter of 2021.

Total enterprise and service provider (SP) router market revenues grew 4.7 percent to $3.8 billion, says International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Ethernet Switch Tracker and IDC Worldwide Quarterly Router Tracker.
