The UCaaS market has achieved growth of 29 percent or 300,000 subscriber seats in terms of the global installed base in Q4 2017.
Mitel and RingCentral are the two top technology companies in the UCaaS market.
RingCentral has marginally more seats.
Mitel’s growth was stronger. 8×8 and Fuze are in third and fourth positions in terms of growth in the number of seats.
8×8 and Cisco/Broadsoft are in third and positions in terms of installed base.
“UCaaS seat additions in 2017 were 16 percent higher than in 2016, which were themselves 11 percent up on 2015, demonstrating the demand for these services to displace traditional premise based telephony and UC,” said Jeremy Duke, founder and chief analyst at Synergy Research Group.
