HPE has 15.7 percent share in the server market during the second quarter of 2021, according to IDC report.
Dell Technologies has 15.6 percent share in the server market.
Inspur Power Systems ranked third with 9.4 percent revenue share in server market.
Lenovo with 7 percent was in fourth place while IBM came in at fifth with 5 percent share. The ODM Direct group of vendors accounted for 26.7 percent of total server revenue and declined 8.8 percent year over year to $6.3 billion while accounting for 32.2 percent of all units shipped during the quarter.
Server market revenue fell 2.5 percent to $23.6 billion during the second quarter of 2021, IDC report said.
Server shipments increased 0.1 percent to 3.2 million during the quarter.
Volume server revenue rose 5.6 percent to nearly $20 billion.
Midrange server revenue declined 30.0 percent to $2.4 billion.
High-end servers fell 32.7 percent to $1.3 billion.
“Server market performance was muted in the second quarter as the market shifted slightly towards single socket server configurations,” said Paul Maguranis, senior research analyst, Infrastructure Platforms and Technologies at IDC.
Revenue generated from x86 servers decreased 2.2 percent in in the second quarter to $21.4 billion. Non-x86 server revenue declined 4.5 percent year over year to around $2.3 billion.
