IDC has released the latest statistics on WLAN market for India during the first quarter of 2018. HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) is the leading WLAN equipment supplier in India with 19.9 percent share.
The WLAN suppliers’ revenue in India market increased 19.8 percent to $51.5 million –driven by enterprise and service provides deployments, while consumer deployments fell. Increased spending in government was the key growth contributor for the WLAN market in Q1 2018.
HPE has emerged as the WLAN market leader in Q1 2018 with 19.9 percent share followed by Cisco and D-Link.
“OEMs should address the developing business and deployment models, since the market will adopt subscription-led networking procurement over traditional networking hardware spend,” Dileep Nadimpalli, research manager at IDC India, said.
