Converged systems market revenue rose 14.8 percent to $4.15 billion in the fourth quarter of 2018, IDC report said.
The certified reference systems & integrated infrastructure market generated $1.6 billion (–6.4 percent) in revenue, representing 38.6 percent of total converged systems revenue.
Integrated platforms sales declined 8.4 percent to $619 million, accounting for 14.9 percent of the total converged systems market revenue.
Sales of hyperconverged systems grew 57.2 percent to $1.9 billion in revenue in Q4 2018, representing 46.5 percent of the total converged systems market.
Dell is the largest converged systems supplier with $552.4 million in revenue and 28.6 percent share in Q4.
Nutanix generated $284.9 million in revenue, grabbing 14.8 percent of the total HCI market during the quarter and 49 percent of the total HCI revenue generated through sales of systems running Nutanix software.
HPE is the third largest branded HCI vendor with $104.9 million in revenue and 5.4 percent market share.
