Cisco has lost share in the worldwide Cloud IT infrastructure products market during the fourth quarter of 2018, according to IDC.
Cisco rivals such as Dell Technologies, HPE, Inspur and Huawei have increased their share in the global Cloud IT infrastructure market.
Cloud IT infrastructure products revenue grew 28 percent in the fourth quarter of 2018 to $16.8 billion and 1.3 percent in 2018 to $66.1 billion.
Dell, HPE, Cisco, Inspur and Huawei are the top Cloud IT infrastructure vendors during Q4 2018.
Dell has increased its Cloud IT infrastructure share 16.8 in Q4 2018 from 15.2 percent in Q4 2017.
HPE has enhanced its Cloud IT infrastructure share to 12.2 percent from 11.9 percent.
Cisco has lost its Cloud IT infrastructure revenue share to 6.8 percent in Q4 2018 from 7.8 percent in Q4 2017.
Inspur increased its share in the Cloud IT infrastructure market to 5.7 percent from 3.8 percent.
The Cloud IT infrastructure share of Huawei has gone up to 5.4 percent from 4.2 percent, according to the IDC report.
The IDC forecast report said total spending on cloud IT infrastructure will grow at 6 percent in 2019 to reach $70.1 billion.
Spending on public cloud IT infrastructure grew 33 percent to $11.9 billion in Q4. Spending on private cloud infrastructure rose 19.6 percent to $5.75 billion in Q4.
Spending on public cloud infrastructure grew at 50.2 percent in 2018. Spending on private cloud rose 24.8 percent in 2018.
Spending on Ethernet switches will be growing at 23.8 percent in 2019, while spending on storage platforms will grow 9.1 percent. Spending on compute platforms will stay at $35 billion in 2019.
