Schneider Electric tackles India SMB woes with InfraStruxure

To help Indian SMBs address the IT infrastructure concerns, Schneider Electric IT Business recently launched ‘InfraStruxure’ (ISX) for Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) in India.

SMBs contribute for a greater share of IT services market in India. The rapid growth of SMBs related to IT and e-commerce is offering good opportunity for providers like Schneider Electrci.

According to the latest report from NASSCOM, India SMB market is estimated to witness a year-on-year growth of 15 percent CAGR. This is expected to propel the IT spending in the sector to over $ 18.5 billion.

ISX from Schneider Electric is marked by its localized product mix specifically catered to SMB IT in India. It includes UPS, racks and cooling units from Schneider Electric brands like APC, President and Uniflair. ISX also comes with a Configurator Tool, which enables resellers to customise different stock keeping units (SKU) to allow for fast and easy tool-less integration.

The IT infrastructure solution targets the server room of these companies by offering benefits like reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) with energy consumption by 20 percent and space optimization by 30 percent.

SMBs adopting this solution can address the challenges such as lack of resources, infrastructure costs, deployment of new technologies, increased pressure on networks, lack of space, multivendor management and manual configuration of network, Schneider Electric said.

Nikhil Pathak, vice president and country general manager – India & SAARC- IT Business, Schneider Electric India, said, “With MSME (micro, small and medium enterprise) sector growing fast, the dependency on IT is increasing every day. However, the industry has been constrained by lack of end-to-end technologies, which is where we see a huge opportunity for InfraStruxure.”
