Pipeline video solutions and AGT team up to serve SMBs

Infotech Lead America: AGT, a provider of managed and cloud video solutions for service providers, has partnered with Pipeline to offer ‘Pipeline Video Solutions’ cloud-based video conferencing solutions, powered by AGT’s Video-as-a-Service platform.

Pipeline, a cloud-based video conferencing and unified communication (UC) provider, aims to sell its new cloud video solutions to the small and medium sized business (SMB) and enterprise markets.

The partnership will enable Pipeline to quickly deliver flexible and branded video conferencing to its existing client base. Pipeline’s solution extends video from the traditional conference room to a variety of video-enabled devices and endpoints in the cloud.

According to a research by IDC, Unified Communications as a whole is likely to grow at a rate of 18 percent a year until 2015 leading to a market worth $44 billion and video conferencing should play a significant role in this success.

Pipeline also has custom apps in the Apple App Store and Google Play for tablets and smartphones. AGT handled the entire enablement and application process for Pipeline.

The project expanded AGT’s reach to enable service providers looking to protect their client base by offering turnkey video solutions and cater to the growing customer demand of video.

Pipeline spent six months evaluating the emerging video conferencing market and categorized the most important customer components and features before it zeroed in on AGT’s solution. AGT’s offering met every element on Pipeline’s list, from  ease-of-use, reliability, security, recording, firewall traversal to mobile and interoperability with multiple devices and operating systems.

Last year AGT launched UC’s first partner program that assures any UC partner can remain competitive. Qualified partners in the multi-tiered program will be provided a branded app(s) that would enable them to integrate smartphones, tablets, and laptops into their new or existing service offerings.

Mark Cray, executive vice president of global sales and marketing at AGT said, “Service providers like Pipeline are discovering the benefits of our partner program, such as driving additional revenue, improving gross margins and increasing brand value with custom iOS and Android apps. With Pipeline’s expertise and existing customers, we have no doubt they will continue their success with new video offerings made possible by AGT.”
