Infotech Lead America: Cbeyond, a provider of cloud and network services to SMEs, has launched Cbeyond Online – a single portal that will enable customers to view, customize, manage and control their cloud computing services better. This on-demand portal encourages self service and aims at saving time and resources.
The Cbeyond Online portal also supports Cbeyond’s cloud service platform, the TotalCloud Data Center which was launched in October 2012, and the TotalCloud Phone System which was launched in December 2012.
The newly launched portal gives customer the ability to view computing, storage, and network utilization and performance reports, add real-time compute, storage and network capacity, and make changes to their cloud resources.
Customers can provision or resize their virtual machines and also manage phone system features like setting time-based conditional call routing, viewing call detail records and assigning phone numbers to handsets. Improved visibility into usage translates to more informed and accurate decisionmaking regarding capacity and shift utilization according to specific needs.
Chris Ortbals, Cbeyond’s senior vice president, Product Management, said: “Cbeyond continues to design and upgrade our platform with SMBs in mind — delivering solutions to help them transition to the cloud and, at the same time, optimize their cloud usage once they have migrated to the cloud.”
Account administrators can access Cbeyond Online via Cbeyond mobile apps that are available for download on Android and Apple iOS devices via Google play and iTunes respectively.
Cbeyond’s total revenue was $118.9 million in the fourth quarter 2012 compared to $123.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2011 and $121.5 million in the third quarter of 2012.
Last month the company launched Cloud Based Certified Application Servers for the small and mid-sized business market, to enable users to securely access and run their most frequently used business productivity applications from anywhere, any time and on any device.
