IoT and M2M vendor Aeris appointed Rishi Bhatnagar as the President of Operations in India, as part of expanding its operations in the nation.
Effective from February 2016, Bhatnagar will lead IoT operations and manage Aeris’ investments, governance and key stakeholder relationships within India’s IoT market.
He will also oversee operations in Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific for the company.
“It is an honor to work with a company known for pioneering IoT and M2M, and continuing to be a leader in the growing industry,” said Bhatnagar.
He also said the timing for Aeris to venture into Indian market is perfect given that the nation is heading for digital empowerment.
Before joining Aeris, Bhatnagar was the Global Head of Digital Enterprise Services at Tech Mahindra, where he spearheaded the IoT initiatives for the company and smart city projects. Dr. Bhatnagar is also the chairperson for The Institution of Engineering and Technology-Internet of Things (IET-IoT) India Panel.
Aeris CEO Marc Jones he believes that India is on the cusp of explosive growth and the new leadership will help to accelerate the company’s momentum and strengthen relationships with its stakeholders in India.
Aeris has also formed a senior leadership team to work with Bhatnagar, including Tushir Malik as Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Arvind Gopalakrishnan as Vice Presidnt of Engineering and Operations.
