Intel smart home

Smart homes will benefit homeowner’s relationships and help generate new income streams, latest study showed.

According to a survey commissioned by Intel, 58 percent of Americans believe the adoption of the smart home will improve their personal lives and relationships.

Interestingly, the survey also revealed that the smart home of 2025 promises to reduce daily stress.

Among the survey respondents, 25 percent believe that connected homes will increase people’s time with their family and 22 percent expects an increase in “me time”.

At the same time 54 percent of smart home owners would be willing to sell their home data to generate personal income.

Given that 68 percent of Americans are confident, smart homes will be as commonplace as smartphones within 10 years, the IT major said.
