Hitachi inks IoT deal with Daikin Industries

hitachi-inspire-the-nextBusiness technology major Hitachi today announced its IoT deal with air condition manufacturing company Daikin Industries.

Hitachi said Daikin Industries will use Hitachi’s IoT platform Lumada for digitalization, comparison and analysis of the skills of expert workers and trainees in the brazing manufacturing process for the making of air conditioners at its Shiga Plant.

Consistent quality, improvement in productivity and development of human resources at production locations worldwide are the aim of the IoT deal.

Daikin will begin full-scale operation of the IoT system in manufacturing plants during this fiscal year, and aims to expand applications of the system to other Daikin factories and manufacturing processes worldwide.
