GE debuts suite of connected appliances on IFTTT

GE Appliances released the washer, dryer and dishwasher channels, becoming the first appliance manufacturer to have its entire appliance suite on “If This Then That” (IFTTT) platform.

“Having the full suite available on IFTTT allows consumers to stay on top of their home appliances in new ways that are created just for them and their lifestyle,” said Brett Luckabaugh, connected appliances scrum master at GE Appliances.

“With six GE Appliances channels on IFTTT there are endless possibilities for consumers to create new recipes, giving them more control over their smart home.”

GE Appliances has been working with IFTTT since June of 2015.  The new channels enable users to connect their appliances to more than 100 other applications and connected devices, such as Facebook, Twitter, smart lighting, and various other smart home products.

GE Appliances currently has over 400 connected users across its multiple IFTTT channels.
