Avnet announced a new agreement in the Americas with Aeris, a provider of IoT and M2M network solutions, to boost IoT services.

With the agreement in place, Avnet can offer customers a unified platform to manage cellular connectivity across LTE, GSM and CDMA networks.

“Designing and producing an IoT solution is only half the battle. Successfully deploying these devices requires a reliable, flexible, yet cost-effective cellular network,” said John Salemme, vice president and general manager of Avnet Embedded.

Aries said its platform works as a single point of access to a network of over 500 carriers globally.

Moreover, it gives users the ability to control and manage end devices across different cellular technologies.

Andy Greig, vice president of sales, North America of Aeris said Avnet’s new service, together with Aeris’ platform and support, will simplify creating an IoT solution and also help Avnet customers to bring those solutions to market much faster.
