Strontium Technology CEO Vivian Singh on growth plan

Strontium Technology announced plans to launch 2GB microSD cards to Indian end users at Rs 99 by fourth quarter of 2014.

“We achieved Rs 400 crore revenue in India in 2013 including both DRAM and FLASH.  With NITRO products which have a higher average selling price, we should reach Rs 500 crore in the current year and Rs 750 crore in 2015. Currently, India contributes to around 22 percent of our total revenue. We expect this number to grow to 26 percent by 2015,” said Vivian Singh, president & CEO, Strontium Technology.

Strontium Technology will offer 2GB microSD cards to Indian end users at Rs 99 by Q4 of 2014. “It will depend on a few factors including stability of Rupee, our negotiation with vendors and support of our channel. This shows our focus of selling retail products in emerging markets especially India and that too at affordable prices,” Singh added.

The Strontium Nitro range offers superior data storage solution for smartphones, tablets, computers, DSLRs and other digital cameras. NITRO products enable consumers to capture, copy, transfer and store the fast growing digital content.

The company Nitro cards are waterproof and come with back up applications so data is always safe and secure. The latest NITRO PLUS microSD and SD cards are UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3) specifications, which enable consumers to capture and watch 4K2K Ultra HD pictures and videos on their high performance cameras, tablets and smartphones.

The super-fast speed also ensures that data, be it movies or music, can be downloaded in minimum time. Like NITRO cards, NITRO PLUS cards are also waterproof, shockproof, and come with free Backup software and Strontium’s lifetime warranty.

“We are able to differentiate ourselves from rivals by keeping competitive and affordable prices for NITRO and other products, and making the products available to consumers through multiple channels – Large Format Retailers, Online stores, as well as Traditional mobile and IT channel. We also provide hassle free warranty to any consumer who buys our product by giving free door-to-door pickup and drop facility in India for our entire product range including memory modules, USB drives and memory cards,” Singh said.
