Take-Two Interactive Software has released its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, which ended on June 30, 2024.

The online gaming company reported a slight increase in net bookings, which rose by 1 percent to $1.22 billion compared to $1.20 billion during the same period last year. Recurrent consumer spending, which accounted for 83 percent of total bookings, remained flat.
The company saw a 4 percent increase in revenue, reaching $1.34 billion, up from $1.28 billion in the previous year’s fiscal first quarter. Recurrent consumer spending also grew by 3 percent, making up 82 percent of the total revenue.
Key contributors to both bookings and revenue included popular titles such as NBA 2K24, Grand Theft Auto Online, Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2, and several mobile games like Toon Blast, Empires & Puzzles, and Merge Dragons!.
Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two Interactive, expressed satisfaction with the quarter’s performance, stating, “We achieved solid first quarter results by engaging our players with exciting new game releases and content updates, while also maintaining our focus on efficiency.”
Key Achievements
Grand Theft Auto V: Unit sales reached 200 million units.
GTA+ Membership Growth: Rockstar’s premium membership service saw strong double-digit growth over the past year.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Sales surpassed 65 million units.
NBA 2K24: Sold 11 million units, with its MyTEAM mode downloaded nearly 3 million times since February. The Arcade Edition on Apple Arcade remains a top 2 game on the service.
WWE 2K24: Players logged 27 million hours of gameplay across 200 million matches.
Toon Blast: Celebrating its 7th anniversary, it became a top-10 grossing game in the US Apple App Store, with over $2.5 billion in lifetime gross bookings.
Looking ahead, Take-Two is targeting revenue between $5.55 and $5.65 billion for fiscal year 2025, with NBA 2K, the Grand Theft Auto series, Toon Blast, and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII expected to be among the largest contributors to net bookings.
