Electronic Arts full game net bookings surged 27 percent to $214 million, while live services bookings were $1.08 billion, down 1 percent, but showing growth excluding Apex Legends.

Electronic Arts revenue rose 1 percent to $1.67 billion, with operating expenses increasing 9 percent to $1.12 billion due to strategic investments in talent and launches.

Andrew Wilson, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Electronic Arts, said: “This quarter’s performance highlights EA’s unique position in the industry – the creativity of our teams, production capabilities, world-class IP, and the breadth of our global player network.”

EA’s strategies center around building massive online communities through its core franchises — Global Football (FC), American Football (Madden, College Football), The Sims, Apex Legends, and Battlefield. The company is emphasizing live services, cross-platform integration, and fan engagement, leveraging real-world sports content and creator tools.

Mobile titles, especially FC Mobile, are scaling well globally, supported by localization and webstore expansion. Battlefield 6 and skate are set for launch this year, adding to the momentum. EA plans for strategic marketing and R&D spending to fuel growth and long-term margin expansion, focusing on blockbuster storytelling, user-generated content, and immersive social experiences.

Electronic Arts’ growth in Q1 FY26 was driven by strong performance across its franchises, particularly in Global Football, American Football, Apex Legends, and Star Wars. FC Mobile posted record engagement with over 50 million installs, supported by live content, localization, and real-world integrations like Apple’s MLS content.

Madden NFL and College Football sustained momentum with high retention and deeper player engagement. Apex Legends rebounded with strong retention and player satisfaction, while F1 25 saw a 27 percent increase in net bookings, boosted by gameplay innovation and partnerships.

The upcoming launches of Battlefield 6 and skate are expected to further fuel growth by expanding EA’s online communities and engaging new audiences through creator-driven platforms and immersive experiences.
