Verizon Enterprise names Francis Yip as group VP of Asia Pacific

Verizon Enterprise Solutions has promoted Francis Yip to group vice president of Verizon Asia Pacific.

Yip will report to Christopher Formant, president of Verizon Enterprise Solutions.

Based in Hong Kong, Yip will take care the delivery of cloud, security, mobility, network and connected machines solutions to Verizon’s multinational enterprise clients across the Asia-Pacific region.

Most recently, Yip was managing director of Verizon for North Asia, with responsibility for Verizon’s business in Hong Kong, China, Korea and Taiwan.

Prior to joining Verizon, Yip was responsible for managing Dimension Data’s North Asia operations. He has also held senior management positions at Equant (now Orange Business Systems) including general manager for China.

He replaces Andrew Dobbins, who announced his retirement earlier this month.
