Snapdeal and Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (TANSIDCO) have joined hands to develop skills in online commerce among MSMEs in Tamil Nadu.
Under this partnership, MSMEs in Tamil Nadu can leverage the e-commerce opportunity and gain pan-India market access for their products.
Additionally, Snapdeal will also provide support for on-boarding MSMEs in coordination with TANSIDCO and enable them to fulfill documentation, process, training etc.
India’s online marketplace said it will also equip the businesses with online cataloguing, pricing, range and assortment planning, inventory management and refinement of product offerings basis consumer preferences, gathered through its data analytics tools.
“Our endeavour is to establish a more integrated platform for local micro and small enterprises of Tamil Nadu and help promote and sell their products to a nationwide audience,” according to Snapdeal Spokesperson.
This apart, Snapdeal partnered with SIDBI to provide necessary financial and non-financial support to help micro, small and medium-sized businesses expand their business and reach across India.
In June, Snapdeal announced its partnership with the Himachal Pradesh government to launch a special e-commerce zone at Dharamshala to create business expansion and employment opportunities for the residents of Dharamshala.
In May, India’s largest commercial bank State Bank of India (SBI) inked an initial seller financing agreement with e-commerce portal Snapdeal.
