Magnit, a food retailer in Russia, has deployed NCR SelfServ Checkout as part of its strategy to improve customer satisfaction and deliver high-quality convenience goods.
NCR has collaborated with Shtrikh to embed the fiscal receipting in its self checkout solutions and the collaboration with New Vision supported the integration with the existing Magnit infrastructure.
As the first step in this partnership, the foot retailer has installed self checkout solutions in 40 hypermarkets.
NCR has also demonstrated the way to deploy self checkout successfully in two different Magnit supermarkets, one in the company’s hometown Krasnodar, a regional capital with more than 800.000 citizens, and another in Tuapse, holiday resort on the Black Sea with a population of less than 100,000 inhabitants.
According to NCR, it has provided a variety of retail solutions and services and also supported Magnit to determine the ideal configuration and layout of self checkouts.
Also, 85 percent of Russian customers believe that retailers who offer self checkout provide better customer service, according to the recent study, NPD global study commissioned by NCR.
Last month, OTG Management deployed NCR SelfServ 90 self checkout solution at its restaurant and retail locations.
