Twitter unveils bold logo change

Twitter’s new CEO Linda Yaccarino has revealed a striking new logo for the popular social media platform on Monday.

“X is here! Let’s do this,” tweeted Linda Yaccarino, along with an image of the new logo projected onto Twitter’s San Francisco offices.

Interestingly, both Linda Yaccarino and Elon Musk have already adopted the X logo on their respective Twitter handles, although the traditional Twitter blue bird can still be seen across the platform.

The logo change follows a public poll initiated by Elon Musk on Sunday, where he asked his millions of followers whether they would support altering Twitter’s color scheme from blue to black. Alongside the poll, Musk shared a stylized X on a captivating outer space-themed backdrop, which he referred to as the interim X logo.

Linda Yaccarino, who assumed the role of Twitter CEO on June 5, takes charge of the platform at a critical time. The social media giant has been grappling with a substantial decline in advertising revenue, and Yaccarino’s leadership aims to steer the company towards reversing this downward trend.

The bold logo change has generated a significant buzz within the Twitter community, with users sharing their thoughts and opinions on the platform. As Twitter moves forward with this new visual identity, the world waits to see how it will impact the user experience and the company’s efforts to revitalize its financial standing.
