Scaler School of Technology (SST) said it achieved 130 percent increase in admissions in 2024, with over 12,000 students registering for the Scaler National Scholarship and Entrance Test (NSET).

This figure marks a substantial jump from 5,000 registrations the prior year. Despite the high interest, SST maintained a selective acceptance rate of 3.7 percent, enrolling 440 students — an increase of 230 percent from its inaugural batch of 190 students.
More than 137 students declined admissions to top Indian institutions like IITs and NITs to join SST. Another 12 turned down offers from prominent global universities, including the University of Toronto and the University of Texas, in favor of SST.
Enrolled students boast impressive credentials, including JEE scores in the 99.4th percentile, top placements in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) Regionals, and top standings in coding competitions and hackathons.
SST has an Innovation Lab dedicated to developing deep-tech startups and impactful projects, connecting students with industry mentors and leaders. Notable collaborations include a project with Bhashini, the Indian government’s AI-driven multilingual translation platform, to develop tools that break language barriers across India.
The hands-on experience has led to internships at companies like Freecharge and Pazcare, and 21 students work with Dukaan’s CTO. The program emphasizes project-based learning, which has set SST students apart and led to recognition from industry leaders.
