iClick to acquire OptAim to boost digital capabilities

iClick Interactive Asia, a digital marketing platform, announced its deal to acquire 100 percent stake in OptAim Technology.

The acquisition will assist iClick, which has seven offices across Asia serving more than 2,000 advertisers in China and international brands, to bolster its digital capabilities.

InJanuary 2015, OptAim received approximately US$10 million in a Series A financing from Bertelsmann Asia Investments.

OptAim owns and operates mobile advertising platforms in China and is connected with the premium web publishers in Chinaincluding Tencent, Taobao, Sohu and Toutiao.

This apart, OptAim boasts access to more than 550 million mobile users across the country.

The company did not disclose the financial details but confirmed acquisition was settled by way of shares and cash.

“The acquisition complements iClick’s existing cross-platform marketing capabilities,” said chief executive officer and co-founder of iClick, Sammy Hsieh.
