Enterprises across the globe are seeking technical support from IT vendors to transform businesses digitally.

Most recently, Accenture said it has been selected by Stryker, a leading medical technology company, to support the standardization of its business processes across the company.

The enterprise IT vendor will deploy the SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA (SAP S/4HANA) solution as the digital foundation for Stryker’s global enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

The program is intended to standardize and automate business processes in finance, sales, logistics, supply chain and procurement for Stryker, with a global deployment of SAP S/4HANA, SAP World Template and leveraging Assemble-to-Order methodology.

“We selected Accenture for its medical technology experience combined with an extensive knowledge of ERP systems,” said Bijoy Sagar, Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Stryker. “The company’s solution will help us drive efficiencies and allow us to remain focused on meeting our customers’ changing needs.”

Accenture will deliver the work onsite at Stryker, as well as from the Accenture Innovation Center for SAP in Kronberg, Germany, and the Accenture Delivery Center in Pune, India.

In January, SAP and Accenture announced that they are joining forces in the industry development and go-to-market of SAP S/4HANA, the business suite from SAP.

Recently SAP announced that various Indian companies have selected SAP S/4HANA to run live and become digital enterprises.

Some of the companies are DCM Shriram, Mangalam Cement Limited, Vectus Industries, Shriji Polymers, Ichiban Crop Science Limited and Grey Orange.
