ZyXEL adds new Internet Access Gateways for hospitality segment

ZyXEL Communications today announced the launch of new Internet Access Gateways for hospitality segment.

The price of UAG5100 that supports up to 800 devices is $1299.

UAG2100 supports up to 200 devices and the price is $599.

ZyXEL said the UAG5100 supports up to 500 devices and is upgradable to 800. The UAG2100 supports up to 100 devices and is upgradable to 200.

Steven Joe, executive vice president for channel business for Americas at ZyXEL said: “ZyXEL service gateways are designed with advanced billing, user authentication and access control features that help hospitality locations manage guest accounts, block unauthorized access and limit access abuse through per-account bandwidth management.”

UAG5100

  1. High density gateway supports 800 concurrent devices
  2. Billing features help hospitality venues monetize Internet services or offer them for free
  3. Dual-WAN support with load balancing and failover protection offer services to satisfy guests
  4. Integrated WLAN controller manages up to 32 Wi-Fi Access Points
  5. 10 IPSec VPN tunnels make it easy for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to remotely manage and service customer deployments
  6. Support for recording user access information like MAC addresses, source and destination IPs and more, to facilitate auditing requests from security agencies

UAG2100

  1. Supports up to 200 concurrent devices
  2. Built-in dual-radio 802.11n Access Point
  3. Billing features with Web-based authentication help hospitality venues monetize Internet services or offer them for free
  4. Integrated WLAN controller manages up to 8 Wi-Fi Access Point
  5. Supports ticket printer for easy password generation and billing
  6. Support for recording user access information like MAC addresses, source and destination IPs and more, to facilitate auditing requests from security agencies
