Toshiba unveils Satellite S Series laptops starting at $719

Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD) has unveiled its Satellite S Series of laptops which delivers a robust experience.

The new series comes with two screen size options 15.6 inch or 17.3 inch and is available with the option of a 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160) IPS display, Full HD 1080p (1920×1080) or HD+ (1600×900) TruBrite multi-touch display.

The company said user can play music or watch the latest DVD movies with built-in DVD SuperMulti drive.

The Satellite S offers Toshiba’s TruTalk dual-array microphones that enable voice apps and a dedicated Cortana key for easy access to Microsoft’s personal digital assistant.

Powered by 5th generation Intel quad-core and dual-core processor options, the S series laptops include 802.11ac Wi-Fi and offers up to 2TB of storage in single hard drive configuration or with a 1TB hard drive with an additional 128GB solid state drive, up to 16GB of memory and optional discrete graphics by NVIDIA.

Company officials said, the series is equipped with a high-capacity SD card slot, USB Sleep and Charge technology and an HDMI port capable of 4K output.

Additionally, the 15.6 inch model includes three super speed USB 3.0 ports while the 17.3 inch model includes two 3.0 USB and two 2.0 ports.

Toshiba said the Satellite S Series laptops have built-in Harman Kardon stereo speakers and DTS Sound and exclusive Slipstream port technology in the speakers.

The new Satellite S Series laptops 15.6-inch model and 17.3-inch model will be available for $719.99 and $874.99 respectively from July 29, 2015.
