Samsung Electronics has unveiled its vision for harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) to revolutionize the user experience across a spectrum of devices — at CES 2024.
The tech giant’s collaboration with key partners showcased how AI capabilities are integrated into new products and services, promising unparalleled convenience and intuitive interaction.
Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, set the stage by illustrating how AI would subtly enhance connected technologies, improving daily lives without intrusiveness. The strategy emphasized AI’s role in simplifying and enhancing connected experiences. Samsung introduced an array of products and services aligned with this ethos.

The Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN900D, equipped with the NQ8 AI Gen 3 processor, automatically upgrades content quality and sharpens images via AI Motion Enhancer Pro. Additional features like Active Voice Amplifier Pro and Tizen OS Home optimize entertainment experiences and accessibility for users with different needs.
Samsung also unveiled The Premiere 8K projector, offering a cinema-like experience at home. Innovations extended to sound technology with the Music Frame speaker and upgrades to Ballie, now an AI companion aiding users with tasks and information projection.
The company introduced the Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator and Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, utilizing AI for food management and laundry personalization. The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo, a vacuum and mop robot cleaner, promises a more effective cleaning experience through enhanced AI Object Recognition.
Galaxy Book4 Series: Pioneering AI-Ready Laptops
Samsung’s collaboration with Microsoft yielded the Galaxy Book4 series, featuring more connectivity and intelligent AI capabilities. The Microsoft Copilot integration seamlessly unifies Galaxy smartphones and laptops, enabling efficient interaction and communication between devices.
The series leverages Galaxy smartphones’ cameras as webcams, offering enhanced video call experiences. Samsung and Microsoft pledge continued innovation in connectivity features, elevating the PC experience.
Spatial Intelligence Revolutionizes Smart Homes
Jaeyeon Jung, Executive Vice President and Head of SmartThings, emphasized AI’s impact on user-device relationships. SmartThings leverages spatial AI for personalized home management, offering features like digital floor plans and expanded connectivity with smartphones and TVs. Bixby’s enhanced AI capabilities enable dynamic smart home control, streamlining device interactions based on user context.
Samsung’s TV, equipped with services like Samsung Daily+ and Samsung Now+, centralizes smart home functionalities, delivering information and services with voice commands.
Convergence of Home and Car with SmartThings Connectivity
Samsung’s collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group introduces Home-to-Car and Car-to-Home services through SmartThings. Users gain remote control over car functions via voice commands and vice versa. The partnership focuses on seamless connectivity between smart homes and vehicles, enhancing convenience and efficiency.
Additionally, Samsung’s partnership with HARMAN introduces groundbreaking features like Ready Care and Ready Vision, prioritizing driver safety and providing intuitive augmented reality displays for enhanced driving experiences.
