Samsung Electronics America on Thursday launched two multi-function wireless monochrome printers – Xpress M2875DW and the Xpress M2825DW .

Samsung Electronics America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, said these are aimed at consumers and small business users looking for high-speed performance.

The company claimed that these printers are easy-to-use and includes mobile printing and enterprise level security, as well as low operating costs.

“As consumers and business users alike are increasingly printing from mobile devices, Samsung printers make it easy to do so, resulting in a hassle-free experience from anywhere,” said Dave Das, senior vice president, consumer electronics marketing, consumer business division, Samsung Electronics America.

The M2875DW comes up with a print speed of up to 29 pages per minute (ppm), powered by a Cortex -A5 core processor and fuelled with up to 128 MB of memory. Moreover, the model is installed with Easy Eco Driver, which reduces toner use by up to 20 percent.

Among other features, the M2875DW automatically adjusts print jobs to be more efficient through Eco Mode, which enables two-up printing (two pages on the same side) and duplex printing (printing on both sides). Samsung said the Eco Mode also offers users a toner save mode as well as the option to save paper by ensuring blank pages are skipped.

As far as the laser toner cartridges are concerned, the M2875DW printer has a range from standard-yield cartridges to high.
