Global shipments of traditional PCs are forecast to decline 12.8 percent in 2022 to 305.3 million units. Tablet shipments will fall 6.8 percent to 156.8 million in 2022, according to IDC.
The combined market for PCs and tablets is forecast to decline 2.6 percent in 2023 before returning to growth in 2024.
