LG launches new business monitor, expands into B2B sector

LG Electronics is launching a new lineup of 20 business monitors, aimed at enhancing productivity and comfort in professional environments.

LG, known for its premium consumer monitors, is expanding into the B2B sector with models tailored to industries such as corporate, government, education, healthcare, and creative sectors. LG said this range includes monitors with various aspect ratios and resolutions, from Full HD to QHD.

Analysts at IDC say PC monitor market will grow 4 percent in 2024 and 2.3 percent in 2025 based on improved consumer demand. Beyond 2025, annual shipment volume of PC monitors is expected to stabilize in the 132 to 135 million units range.

Business migration towards Windows 11 PCs and improving office occupancy are expected to bring benefits on the commercial side. Commercial PC monitor market is expected to grow 2.8 percent in 2024, said Jay Chou, research manager, Worldwide Client Devices for IDC.

LG UltraWide Displays: Designed for Multitasking

LG’s UltraWide business monitors offer a 21:9 aspect ratio with large 34-inch curved QHD+ (3,440 x 1,440) displays, ideal for multitasking. Models like the 34BA85QE-B and 34BA75QE-B deliver sharp visuals, accurate color reproduction, and wide viewing angles, making them suitable for industries such as government control rooms, financial trading, and IT development. These monitors also support Picture-by-Picture (PBP) mode for side-by-side window display and come with USB-C 3.2 Gen1 ports with power delivery, providing up to 90W of charging for connected devices.

Ergonomic QHD Monitors for Customer-Facing Environments

LG’s QHD monitors, including the 27BA75QB and 27BA65QB, are designed for ergonomic flexibility, with height-, swivel-, and tilt-adjustable stands. These features make them ideal for customer service settings like government centers and airports. The monitors come with eye comfort features, such as Reader Mode and Flicker Safe Mode, and provide exceptional image quality with IPS displays that cover 99 percent of the sRGB color gamut. They also feature multiple connectivity options, including USB-C and HDMI.

Full HD Monitors: Enhancing Convenience and Sustainability

LG’s Full HD business monitors, available in 27- and 23.8-inch sizes, feature built-in speakers and webcams for video conferencing. They come with multiple USB ports for easy connectivity and are designed with sustainability in mind, having received certifications like ENERGY STAR and EPEAT. These monitors are ideal for professionals managing data from various devices.

“LG’s business monitors meet the growing demand for high-resolution, ergonomically designed workplace screen solutions,” said YS Lee, vice president of LG Business Solutions Company.

With this launch, LG aims to drive digital transformation and improve the employee experience across industries. LG competes with PC monitor leaders such as Dell, TPV, Samsung, HP and Lenovo for adding customers.
