Lenovo unveils ThinkCenter Chromebox targeting education and SMBs

Lenovo has expanded its ThinkCenter Tiny business desktop family by adding the ThinkCenter Chromebox.
The ThinkCenter Chromebox will provide cloud based solutions targeting education and small business users.
The system, which is small, easy to manage and has a full ecosystem of optional accessories, is designed to connect to the 23 inch Lenovo ThinkCenter Tiny-in-one monitor to create an all-in-one desktop computer.
By targeting education institutions and small businesses, Lenovo’s ThinkCenter Chromebox will assist to deploy secure, easy and low cost systems.
The ThinkCentre models include simple flexibility that allows teachers or IT managers a quick and easy way to manage computing and provide access to the web’s vast education and collaboration resources.
The management and maintenance of one liter desktop is simple and efficient. Users can place ThinkCenter Chromebox anywhere and connect to multiple devices which allows easy transportation from campus to campus or between office locations.
User can login to another ThinkCentre Chromebox or even a ThinkPad 11e Chromebook at another location and immediately access their cloud-based data and apps.
“Combined with the ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One, the new Chromebox illustrates our belief in more flexibility for teachers and IT managers to continue to offer desktop solutions in a modern day environment,” said Ouyang Jun, vice president and general manager, Desktop and Visuals, Lenovo.
The ThinkCentre Chromebox Tiny will be available in June starting at $199 and ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One is available at $279.
Last month, Lenovo launched Dolby enhanced, a pocket sized TAB 2 A7-30 at Reliance Digital and Amazon.in
In December, Lenovo expanded its ThinkServer portfolio with two new servers 1U ThinkServer RD350 and 2U ThinkServer RD450 for the SMB segment.
