Lenovo revenue grows 14% to $13.4 billion

Lenovo Group today announced results for its second fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2018.

Lenovo Group, which has its headquarters in China, said its second quarter revenue reached $13.4 billion (+14 percent) — reporting its highest quarterly revenue for nearly four years.

The company reported its second consecutive quarter of strong, pre-tax income of $213 million, six times as much as the previous year (+$178 million) as all businesses reported profit improvements.

Lenovo’s profit grew to $168 million, up $91 million sequentially, and $29 million year-over-year.

The Intelligent Devices Group has achieved revenue growth of 10 percent to $11.84 billion.

Revenue from PC and Smart Devices (PCSD) business under IDG rose 18 percent to $10.2 billion.

Lenovo’s Data Center Group (DCG) revenue grew 58 percent to $1.5 billion. Lenovo said its Data Center Group achieved triple-digit revenue growth in North America, and double-digit growth in EMEA, China and Asia Pacific geographies.
