Infotech Lead Asia: Lenovo has priced the IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC at $1,699 in the U.S.
Jay Parker, president, Lenovo North America, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing the IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC to customers around the world this spring and seeing the unique ways consumers incorporate it into their homes, work and play.”
IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC – that features Intel Core i7 processors, NVIDIA GeForce graphics and Dolby Home Theatre v4 audio — will be available for purchase via Lenovo’s online portal beginning April 16 in the U.S.
The Horizon will hit retail shelves in late June, Lenovo said.
The Horizon Table PC allows up to four people to use it simultaneously, interacting with content and playing games with joysticks, strikers and e-dice.
According to a Lenovo survey, nearly half of people spend a considerable amount of time playing PC games and using apps with their families each week.
Horizon comes preloaded with games from Bluestacks with additional access to thousands more for download. It offers a library of Lenovo games such as Air Hockey as well as Stagelight digital music creation software for budding musicians.
To bridge the physical and the digital worlds, Horizon comes with a special set of on-the-glass accessories including an e-dice and up to four joysticks and strikers (no batteries required) for a different kind of game play. And with one press of a button, users can rotate the screen 180 degrees to easily show others forward-facing content.
