Infotech Lead America: Jabra has launched Jabra Motion, a headset designed to adjust automatically to the sound environment to ensure optimal and clear sound throughout a conversation, whether in a noisy office or on the road.
This headset is ideal for multi taskers to use at the office, in the car and at home with smart phones, tablets or laptop that have ”presence everywhere” apps and Unified Communication (UC) solutions. Jabra Motion is also optimized for the new Microsoft Lync 2013.
The Jabra Motion headset has a combination of motion sensors and intelligent microphones that registers movement instantly. When it is picked up, a call is answered simultaneously. When the user starts walking, Jabra Motion adjusts the speaker volume and when it is laid down, it turns off.
Jabra Motion uses the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology for fast pairing to connect the headset with other NFC enabled devices. The Jabra Motion UC offers wireless freedom with a range of up to 100m/300ft from the PC, tablet or smartphone.

Jabra Motion headset has a ‘behind-the-ear’ circular shape; mimicking the back of the ears’ semi-circle shape. Its folding boom makes it easy to carry in the pocket without breaking the boom arm. It is at the same time used to take and end calls with a simple flip of the boom arm.
Jabra Motion’s launch coincides with the launch of Microsoft Lync 2013. Jabra launched its first optimized headset for Microsoft Office Communicator in collaboration with Microsoft in 2007. Since then, the company has continued its collaboration with Microsoft as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.
Jabra carries a broad portfolio of UC hands-free audio solutions – optimized and qualified for Microsoft Lync.
Earlier this year, Jabra had launched Jabra Speak 510 with Bluetooth, priced at Rs 11,000 in India.
Jabra Speak 510 can be connected to the PC, tablet or smartphone via Bluetooth. It is designed for professionals for audio conferencing or hands-free calls.
