Intel Core Series 3 Processors Launch: AI Performance, Battery Life, and Value Computing Redefined in 2026

Intel has introduced its latest Intel Core Series 3 processors, targeting value buyers, small businesses, and edge computing deployments with a strong focus on AI performance, efficiency, and affordability. Built on the advanced Intel 18A process node and derived from the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 architecture, the new lineup aims to deliver modern computing capabilities at scale.

Intel Core Series 3 Processors Launch

The Intel Core Series 3 processors bring significant performance improvements compared to older systems. Users upgrading from five-year-old PCs can experience up to 47 percent faster single-thread performance and up to 41 percent higher multi-thread performance. GPU-based AI capabilities see up to 2.8 times improvement, enabling smoother AI-driven tasks such as content creation, automation, and real-time processing.

A major highlight is Intel’s first hybrid AI-ready Core Series processor architecture, delivering up to 40 TOPS of platform AI performance. This positions Intel Core Series 3 as a strong contender in mainstream AI computing, supporting workloads like speech recognition, vision AI, and productivity automation across consumer and commercial devices.

The processors are optimized for all-day battery life and improved efficiency, offering up to 64 percent lower processor power consumption. Productivity and content creation workloads are up to 2.1 times faster, while AI GPU performance delivers up to 2.7 times improvement over previous generation Intel Core 7 150U processors. These gains make the platform suitable for students, professionals, and businesses seeking performance without high energy costs.

Connectivity is another key strength, with support for modern standards including Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7 (R2), and Bluetooth 6. These features ensure faster data transfer, improved wireless performance, and seamless integration with next-generation peripherals and networks.

Beyond laptops, Intel Core Series 3 processors extend into edge computing applications such as robotics, smart buildings, point-of-sale terminals, and smart metering. The platform delivers scalable performance for edge AI, outperforming competing solutions like Nvidia Jetson Orin Nano with up to 1.5 times higher object detection performance, 1.9 times faster image classification, and 2.2 times better video analytics capabilities.

More than 70 device designs from leading OEM partners are expected, including models from Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo, Dell Technologies, Samsung, and MSI. These systems will span multiple categories such as thin laptops, business notebooks, and all-in-one desktops, providing broad choice across price segments.

Intel Core Series 3 processors are set to power a wide range of laptops and computing devices from leading global OEMs, with availability beginning April 2026 and expanding throughout the year. The rollout highlights strong ecosystem support, covering consumer, business, and entry-level segments.

Major brands including Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo, Dell Technologies, Samsung, and MSI are launching new systems based on the platform.

Initial devices include Acer Aspire Go 14, 15, and 16, along with HP Omnibook 5 14 and MSI Modern 14S and 16S. ASUS will expand its lineup in phases, with Vivobook 14, 15, and 17 arriving in Q2, followed by Vivobook S series in Q3 and ExpertBook commercial models in the second half of 2026.

Additional offerings span multiple price segments and regions, including Honor Magicbook X14 and X15, Infinix XBOOK B14 and B16, Tecno Megabook K series, and Wiko Matebook D14. Lenovo is preparing a broad portfolio including ThinkPad E series, ThinkBook, IdeaPad Slim 3i and 5i, and IdeaCentre AIO 3i, though exact timelines are yet to be confirmed.

Several brands such as Dell Technologies, Samsung, and Positivo have announced upcoming models, signaling continued expansion of Intel Core Series 3 devices. Overall, the platform will be available across more than 70 designs, offering diverse choices in form factors, performance tiers, and pricing for global customers.

Intel Core Series 3 powered systems are available starting April 16, 2026, with additional consumer and commercial devices launching throughout the year. Edge computing systems based on the new processors will begin shipping from Q2 2026, further expanding Intel’s presence in AI-driven computing across industries.
