InfoPrint 5000 Inkjet Platform empowers Pinnacle Data Systems to deliver nearly ten million monthly impressions

Infotech Lead Europe: Ricoh announced today that Pinnacle Data Systems (PDS) has successfully completed its first full year of production with InfoPrint 5000 platform, consistently producing more than eight million impressions each month. PDS chose the InfoPrint 5000 due to its superior quality, reliability and ease of operation. These features enable PDS to compete for new digital color business and migrate existing monochrome workloads to color, bringing more value and increased revenue to customers.PDS has enhanced their overall operation and exceeded their customers’ needs in its first twelve months of production. This was achieved by utilizing Hunkeler pre- and post-finishing equipment from Standard Finishing Systems with the InfoPrint 5000. By replacing existing hardware solutions with the InfoPrint 5000, PDS is also able to expand current printing capabilities into new vertical markets as well as deliver new services to both existing and new customers.

InfoPrint 5000’s high density, high quality water-based pigment and dye inks are designed to resist fading and smearing helps produce crisp, clear text and outstanding images with very smooth grey scale. This Advanced Function Presentation (AFP)-enabled printing system supports PostScript and PDF. It enables accurate, consistent, and device-independent color-rendering and provides error recovery, auditability, and security benefits. Its multi-bit per spot inkjet technology automatically and dynamically determines the optimal drop sizes to jet at every pixel on every page.

All InfoPrint 5000s use proven, scalable, highly reliable drop-on-demand inkjet technology, designed to meet the needs of commercial printers, transactional printers, service bureaus, direct mailers and book printers. Customers can choose from three platform “building blocks” that operate at a variety of speeds, with color, monochrome and MICR capability. There are dozens of flexible configuration options and support for plain, treated and coated stocks.
