HP has unveiled its next generation Pavilion x2 and new ENVY notebooks. The Pavilion x2 is a new detachable designed to be a tablet.
HP Pavilion x2 takes the detachable PC category and merges super thin tablet with a notebook form factor and uses magnetic hinge to easily transition from notebook to tent mode to stand mode.
HP said user can detach and attach the keyboard for notebook experience, transform the device into a tablet, use stand mode for watching movies and tent mode for playing games.
The tablet weighs 1.29 pounds and 2.48 pounds with the keyboard attached and is 9.65 millimeters thin and 16.75 millimeters with the keyboard attached.
The Pavilion x2 includes a micro HDMI to connect to an external display, has a full-size USB 2.0 port to attach external devices and features a USB Type-C connector to charge and power the device.
The new device is powered by quad-core Intel Atom processor with up to 64 gigabytes of storage and a micro SD card reader to further expand storage.
Additionally, the HP ENVY notebooks support the latest processors and on the 14 and 15.6 inch notebooks, customers can choose of fifth generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors.
This apart, customer can select between NVidia GeForce 940M or GTX 950M discrete graphics, or AMD Radeon R7 or R6 graphics on 15.6 inch HP ENVY notebooks.
The HP ENVY offers 2TB of storage and solid-state-disk (SSD) with up to16GB of memory on Intel devices while the 15.6 inch AMD version comes with up to 1 TB of storage with up to 8 GB of memory.
The 15.6 inch Intel notebook offers HD, Full HD and Quad HD+ panel options with optional touch while the 14-inch offers HD or full HD non-touch display.
In addition, the 14 inch HP ENVY notebooks come with three USB 3.0 ports. The Intel version has four USB 3.0 ports while the 15.6 inch AMD version has three USB 3.0 ports and 1 USB 2.0 port.
HP has also announced a 17.3 inch HP ENVY notebook which supports 5th generation Intel Core i7 processors and NVidia GeForce 940M or GTX 950M discrete graphics.
The Intel based HP ENVY notebooks feature Bang & Olufsen audio, quad speakers and subwoofers for premium sound reproduction while the 15.6 inch AMD based ENVY Notebook has dual speakers and subwoofer.
The HP Pavilion x2 will be available for $299.99 from 21st July 2015.
The 14 inch HP ENVY notebook starts at $699.99, the 15.6 inch AMD and Intel HP ENVY notebooks start at $629.99 and $799.99 respectively and the 17.3 inch HP ENVY notebook starts at $999.99.
