Epson India announced the appointment of Samba Moorthy, who was the vice president, Sales and Marketing, as the new president.
Samba Moorthy, who joined Epson India in 1996, will replace Toshiyuki Kasai, who has been the president for the last 6 years. Toshiyuki Kasai will be returning to Epson Japan shortly.
Epson said Samba Moorthy has been instrumental in setting up and building the Point of Sale (POS) and Projector businesses for Epson. He is the driving force behind Epson India’s sales growth and its growth to the No. 1 position in most of the categories it operates in including inkjet printers, projectors, billing printers, dot matrix printers and robots.
Epson India has achieved a turnover of Rs 1,664 crore in financial year 2017 fuelled by key products, strong team, robust channel presence, and service network.
