ASUS India launches sixth exclusive retail store in Varanasi, UP

 Infotech Lead India:  ASUS India announced the launch of its sixth exclusive store in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The outlet will retail the entire range of notebooks and netbooks that have been launched in India till date.
The retail store called ‘The Computer Point’, is located at shop no. 8, ground floor of Shakti Plaza, Sigra, Varanasi – 221002, Uttar Pradesh.
ASUS already has set up stores in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Calicut, Goa, Thane, Raipur, Bhillai, Gurgaon, Durgapur, Kanpur, Cochin, Kolhapur, Noida, Pune, Amravati, Kottayam, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mysore, Guwahati, Dehradun, Belgaum, Hubli, Gwalior, Anand, Warangal, Kannur, Coimbatore, Burdwan, Imphal, Agartala, Ludhiana, Nashik, Siliguri, Nagaland and Chennai.
ASUS is targeting customers in various small cities and towns in India. Apart from the company’s entire range of touch notebooks, ultrabooks, tablets, notebooks and netbooks, the store will feature the company’s entire range of entertainment, classic, versatile and elite series of products. End users can experience the latest Gaming notebook G74SX and the thrill of 3D vision.
The product range also includes the Eee Pad Transformer, which combines media consumption and mobile productivity with an expandable keyboard docking station. The New U Series Bamboo Collection brings together the benefits of natural design with cutting edge notebook computing and stylish mobility.
According to IDC, ASUS is not in top 3 PC players’ list in India. IDC said the India PC market shipments for Q3 2012 was stood at 2.99 million units and year-on-year drop was noted to be at 5.4 percent.
To gain substantial market share in AIO market, ASUS recently unveiled 4 All-in-One PC models in India. The company is targeting senior executives, medical practitioners, professionals and students. Last year ASUS launched Windows 8 tablets and notebooks in India.
Asus India expects to garner 15 per cent market share of the country’s tablet PC market this year.
