The new iMac is up to 1.7 times faster for daily tasks and up to 2.1 times faster for demanding workflows such as photo editing and gaming compared to the previous M1 model.

It features a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display with a new nano-texture glass option, enhancing visual clarity and aesthetics.

The iMac includes a new 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View for more engaging video calls and offers up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports, ensuring versatile connectivity.

Available in a range of vibrant new colors, the iMac’s design remains strikingly thin, complemented by color-matched USB-C accessories.

The new iMac starts at Rs 134,900, with 16GB of unified memory. It is available for pre-order now, with shipments beginning on November 8.

The M4 chip enables a smoother gameplay experience, making it well-suited for demanding titles like the upcoming Civilization VII.

The new iMac is designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating 100 percent recycled aluminum in the stand, as well as recycled gold, tin, and copper in its circuitry.

John Ternus, Apple’s Senior VP of Hardware Engineering, stated that the new iMac is set to change the game once again, catering to a diverse user base from families to entrepreneurs.

Benefits of M4 chip in iMac

The M4 chip features the world’s fastest CPU core, making the new iMac up to 1.7 times faster than the iMac with M1 for everyday tasks, such as multitasking and browsing.

With an advanced GPU architecture, the M4 iMac can handle demanding workloads like photo editing and gaming up to 2.1 times faster than the M1, allowing for a seamless experience in graphic-intensive applications.

Gamers will benefit from up to 2 times higher frame rates, resulting in smoother gameplay, especially in titles like the upcoming Civilization VII.

Content creators can expect up to 2.1 times faster performance in photo and video editing when using software like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro, particularly when applying complex filters and effects.

The new iMac comes standard with 16GB of faster unified memory, configurable up to 32GB, enhancing multitasking capabilities and overall performance.

The Neural Engine in the M4 chip is over 3 times faster than that of the M1, positioning the new iMac as the world’s best all-in-one for AI tasks and improving productivity.

The M4 iMac is up to 4.5 times faster than the most popular 24-inch all-in-one PC with the latest Intel Core 7 processor, and up to 6 times faster than the most popular Intel-based iMac model.

Families, small businesses, and entrepreneurs can complete daily tasks, such as using Microsoft Excel and browsing in Safari, with up to 1.5 times faster performance compared to the iMac with M1.
