AMD has enhanced its A-Series line of desktop processors with the addition of A8-7670K APU which provides mainstream workloads, eSports online gaming and experience for Microsoft Windows 10.
The company said energy efficient processing power of an AMD CPU is combined with the pixel pushing power of AMD Radeon graphics (GPU) in one convenient package by A8-7670K.
The A8-7670K APU enable users to multitask modern workloads and stream video in Windows 10 or mow down their enemies in popular eSports online gaming titles such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
The new AMD A8-7670K APU is powered by 10 computer cores, 4CPU and 6GPU, to provide the processing and graphics capability in one chip.
Users will experience new levels of performance and efficiency with Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA).
Company officials said A8-7670K is designed to deliver Windows 10 experience with video playback of movies and TV with hardware-based acceleration.
This apart, user can also protect sensitive data with hardware accelerated encryption and decryption while using Microsoft Bitlocker.
Also, AMD Quick Stream technology allots more bandwidth to the highest priority applications.
According to AMD, user can enjoy smooth 1080p gaming with integrated Radeon R7 graphics while Virtual Super Resolution improves image quality during low resolution gaming experience.
The A8-7670K APU is available for $117.99 USD at select e-tailers and participating system vendors.
“Our newest APU provides a smooth user experience and is engineered for Windows 10 and eSports online gaming,” said Kevin Lensing, senior director, Client Business Unit at AMD.
Few days ago, AMD unveiled AMD Catalyst 15.7 Driver which delivers seamless and intuitive support for Windows 10 and the DirectX 12 API while helping user get the most out of their AMD APU and GPU solutions.
Last month, AMD launched its 6th Generation A-Series Processor, high performance Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) in a System-on-Chip (SoC) design.
