Acer C720 Chromebook laptop, priced at Rs 22,999 in India, comes with freebies such as data plans from Tikona and Bharti Airtel.
Retail chains Croma & Reliance Digital are selling Acer C720 in Mumbai and Delhi. Online store Flipkart also has the latest laptop from Acer.
The price of the Acer C720, which comes with comes with a two year warranty, with 2GB of memory and 16GB SSD is Rs 22,999 in India.
There are financing schemes available from Bajaj Finance at nominal processing fee.
Bharti Airtel is offering Airtel 4G dongle worth Rs 1,500 with monthly 10 GB data for 2 months, or Airtel 3G dongle worth Rs 1,299 along with monthly 6 GB data for 3 months for Rs 2,499 along with the laptop.
Tikona is offering 4 mbps speed Tikona home broadband connection of 8GB data with a validity of 45 days or 100 GB data with a validity of 20 months for Rs 3,499.
Consumers can also receive a Wi-Fi router along with 100 GB data with a validity of 20 months at Rs 4,999.
The main advantage with the new Acer C720 Chromebook is that it offers up to 8.5 hours of battery life.
Acer C720 Chromebook — powered by an Intel Celeron 2955U processor based on the Intel Haswell micro-architecture — boots up in less than 7 seconds and resumes nearly instantly from sleep mode, the company said on Thursday.
Acer C720 measures only 1.9 cms (0.75 inches) thick. The device weighs only 1.25 kg. It provides 29.5 cms (11.6 inches) ComfyView HD display with a 1366×768 resolution.
