Xand Holdings appoints Keith Markley as COO

Data center, cloud and managed services provider Xand Holdings has appointed Keith Markley as chief operating officer.

Markley will look after corporate strategy, planning and its operations.

“With the addition of Keith, we’ve added a proven veteran with vast industry experience. Keith’s comprehensive background, which encompasses sales, operations, marketing, customer support and executive leadership, will allow him to make a significant contribution to Xand from day one,” said David Struwas, Xand’s CEO.

“As we continue to grow both organically and through acquisition, Xand will need proven executives like Keith who are adept at integrating companies, overseeing data center expansions and leading the network operation center’s high level of support to our customer base,” Struwas added.

The appointment is happening at a time when Xand is expanding its data centers in the U.S.

Xand is expanding three of its data centers in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts with more than 6 MW of new power and 25,000 square feet of floor colocation and business continuity space under construction.

Markley will oversee all these projects, which will be completed in the third and fourth quarters of 2012.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to lead Xand’s operational team and help continue the tremendous growth that the company has been experiencing with colocation, cloud and managed services for the enterprise,” said Keith Markley, COO.

Markley joined Xand from KFH portfolio company, LAI Holdings, where he worked as CEO.

Markley also served as president and COO of DSL.net, president of Covad Communications’ Eastern Region, vice-president and general manager for New England Fiber Communications and as district director for Advanced Radio Telecom.
