Infotech Lead America: Data center provider ViaWest has elevated Bob Newman as the company’s chief operating officer.
Newman will look after ViaWest’s operations, including data center management, service delivery, service support, information technology, engineering, security, compliance and customer relations.
“This group goes above and beyond for our customers on a day-to-day basis. 2012 was a standout year for the company, with growth across each of our regions and significant additions to our product portfolio. Building on ViaWest’s strong foundation, 2013 will be a year of continued momentum and growth,” Newman said.

Newman joined ViaWest in 2010 as senior vice president of Service Delivery. His previous information technology management experience includes roles at the LDS Church in Salt Lake City and with Infocrossing, an IT outsourcing company, where he succeeded in earning positive customer satisfaction ratings while achieving revenue growth and margin improvement.
